Jaguars’ standout pass rusher Allen to adopt new last name
The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive end Josh Allen has changed his last name to Hines-Allen to honor his maternal family members. His sister, Myisha Hines-Allen, plays for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and his uncles Gregory Hines and Keith Hines have had successful basketball careers. Hines-Allen posted on Instagram about the importance of carrying on the family legacy. Despite the name change, he remains committed to playing at a high level. Hines-Allen, who set a franchise record for sacks last season, signed a five-year contract extension in April. He will host a jersey exchange event for fans in September.
