Adrian Wilson, former Panthers VP of player personnel, arrested on three domestic violence charges, per police

Adrian Wilson, a former Panthers VP of player personnel, has been apprehended by police on charges including three counts of domestic violence.

The Carolina Panthers confirmed the departure of vice president of player personnel Adrian Wilson after one year, due to his arrest on domestic violence charges. Wilson was arrested in June on three misdemeanor charges: assault, criminal damage, and disorderly conduct. The team promoted Cole Spencer to the director of player personnel following Wilson’s departure. Wilson, a former NFL safety, had a successful career with the Arizona Cardinals and was inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor in 2015. The Panthers have had multiple coaching changes under owner David Tepper, who has yet to lead the team to the playoffs. Tepper hopes new hires will improve the team’s record.
