24-year-old rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson of the Vikings dies in tragic car accident
Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson, 24, was killed in a car crash along with two high school friends near his hometown of Upper Marlboro. Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, and charges are pending against the driver of an Infiniti Q50 involved in the collision. Jackson took a different path to the NFL, briefly working in a grocery store during the pandemic and considering a career in video games. Despite his short time with the Vikings, he was known for his infectious enthusiasm and desire to be the best person he could be. Coach Kevin O’Connell praised him as a potential star both on and off the field.
