Report: Veteran free agent safety suspended six games for violating performance enhancing substances policy

Tashaun Gipson, a veteran NFL free agent, has been suspended for the first six games of the 2024 season for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy. The safety played for the San Francisco 49ers for the past two seasons and made an impact both on and off the field. Throughout his career, Gipson has played in 173 games and recorded 684 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 33 interceptions, and three defensive touchdowns. He started with the Cleveland Browns in 2012 and also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and Chicago Bears. Gipson will have to wait until after the league’s six-game suspension to play for his next team.
