NFL informs teams supplemental draft will not be held in 2024, per report

Report: NFL cancels supplemental draft for 2024

The NFL supplemental draft, which allows players who have experienced a change in eligibility to be selected by teams, will not be held in 2024 for the fourth consecutive year. Players must be at least three years removed from high school to be eligible and can apply through the league office. The draft consists of seven rounds, with teams grouped based on their performance in the previous season. Teams submit bids for players and forfeit a pick in the following year’s regular draft if they select someone in the supplemental draft. The last team to select a player in the supplemental draft was the Arizona Cardinals in 2019.
