Saints defensive end Kpassagnon suffers torn Achilles in offseason injury
Katherine Terrell, ESPN writer since 2013, returned to cover the New Orleans Saints in 2022. Recently, coach Dennis Allen announced that defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon tore his Achilles tendon in an offseason drill. Kpassagnon, 30, will miss training camp but could return later in the 2024 season. He has 16.5 career sacks, with 9.5 coming from his time with the Saints. Kpassagnon’s injury adds to the defensive line’s rehab challenges, as Chase Young and Cameron Jordan are also recovering from offseason procedures. Allen sees Kpassagnon’s injury as an opportunity for other players to step up and contribute.
