DL Draft Prospect Sweat Arrested for DWI Charge

Former Texas defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat, the 2023 Big 12 defensive player of the year and Outland Trophy winner, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The 22-year-old was booked into jail in Travis County, Texas after a crash on Interstate 35 involving his SUV and another vehicle. Sweat, who declared for the NFL draft, faces a Class B misdemeanor. His attorney declined to comment on the incident. Sweat had a successful season with Texas, winning the Outland Trophy and being rated as the No. 3 defensive tackle prospect for the upcoming NFL draft by ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.
