Former Saints wide receiver Thomas to join pretrial diversion program
Former New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas will enter a pretrial diversion program instead of facing trial on two misdemeanor charges of simple battery and criminal mischief. The charges stemmed from an incident in November 2023 where Thomas got into a verbal altercation with a contractor over parking issues. Thomas’ attorney claims there was no assault or brick thrown, and that it was a dispute between the contractor and his employees blocking Thomas’ driveway. Thomas was released by the Saints last week and has had injury struggles in recent years. He is looking to move forward with his NFL career and personal life.
