‘Grateful’ Russell Wilson says he is heading to Steelers after Broncos fiasco

Russell Wilson Expresses Gratitude, Announces Move to Steelers Following Broncos Disappointment

The 9-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the veteran’s minimum of $1.21m. Wilson had a successful season with the Denver Broncos, throwing for 3,070 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. The Steelers are hoping Wilson will bring a much-needed boost to their team after a disappointing playoff loss last season. Meanwhile, Baker Mayfield will remain with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after agreeing to a three-year contract worth up to $115m. Mayfield had a career-best season with the Buccaneers, leading them to their third consecutive NFC South title.
