Reports: Bengals release Joe Mixon and sign Zack Moss for two years, $8 million, a former Colts RB
The Cincinnati Bengals released their top running back Joe Mixon after seven years with the team, replacing him with Zack Moss on a two-year, $8 million contract. Mixon ranks third in Bengals history in rushing yards and has 49 rushing touchdowns. Despite his success, releasing him will save the team $6.1 million in cap space. Moss, who has shown more explosiveness on a per carry basis, had a strong season as a starter for the Colts in 2023. The Bengals are now looking to see if Moss can be more dynamic in a featured role as their new starting running back.
