Former NFL player Wright claims he was sexually assaulted by his trainer
Former NFL player Shareece Wright has identified himself as one of 12 plaintiffs accusing a former high school athletic trainer of sexual assault while they were minors attending a Southern California high school. Wright hopes speaking out will prevent such abuse from happening to other kids. The lawsuit alleges that the trainer engaged in inappropriate behavior with Wright, including multiple sexual encounters. The trainer denies the allegations and has not been criminally charged. School officials were aware of allegations against the trainer as far back as 2011. Wright decided to speak out after discussing his past with his mother and out of concern for his own children and others in public schools.
