Raiders Offensive Coordinator Optimistic about Aidan O’Connell Despite Strong QB Draft Options
New Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy is excited to work with quarterback Aidan O’Connell, who had a respectable rookie season. O’Connell started 10 games, receiving 2,218 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, and an 83.9 passer rating. He took over as the starting QB after Jimmy Garoppolo was suspended and later released. While there is the option to draft a new quarterback in the upcoming NFL draft, Getsy is looking forward to working with O’Connell and believes he has the potential to continue to improve. He also recognizes the depth of talent in the quarterback draft class and is looking forward to exploring the options.
