Patrick Mahomes visits sisters wounded in Super Bowl parade shooting
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife visited Madison and Melia Reyes, two young sisters who were shot in the legs during Wednesday’s parade for the Super Bowl champions. The Reyes family called the shooting “a senseless act” and thanked the Mahomes family for bringing a smile to their daughters’ faces. A GoFundMe campaign for the family has raised over $185,000, with donations from Chiefs’ star Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The Chiefs have also launched a fund to support the victims and their families and the state’s weak gun laws have been criticized. Two juveniles have been charged in connection with the shooting.
