Louis Rees-Zammit happy NFL dream is ‘alive’ but admits issues with helmet

Louis Rees-Zammit optimistic about NFL prospects despite helmet concerns

Louis Rees-Zammit, a rugby union player, has joined the NFL’s International Player Pathway (IPP) in hopes of securing a contract with an NFL team in 2024. He has been training as a wide receiver and doing running back drills in Florida as part of the intensive 10-week programme. Rees-Zammit says there are 10 international players in the IPP, with a pro day at the end to determine if they are good enough for the NFL. He describes it as the hardest decision of his life to leave rugby, but he is excited to see if his dream of playing in the NFL becomes a reality.
