Lamar Jackson named MVP for second time, joining elite group of players
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won his second NFL Most Valuable Player award, joining a select group of players. He is only the fourth player in NFL history to earn multiple MVPS before turning 28, and the second in the last two seasons. Jackson is also the youngest to win two MVP awards at 27 years and 32 days old. He is the first quarterback since 1996 to win MVP without a 1,000-yard runner or receiver. Jackson’s future with the Ravens was uncertain, but he signed a $260 million extension to stay in Baltimore, and now he’s hoisting another MVP trophy.
