Former professional baseball and football player Bo Jackson won a $21 million verdict in a civil case against his niece and nephew for trying to extort him. The court granted a permanent protective order barring the Andersons from contacting Jackson and his family, and ordered them to remove any content about the Jacksons from social media. The lawsuit alleged harassment, intimidation, and threats by the relatives, who demanded $20 million in exchange for stopping their conduct. The court ruled in favor of Jackson, finding the Andersons’ behavior extreme and outrageous, and also found them to be in default as they did not participate in the case after a May 2023 hearing.
