“Patriots welcome McAdoo to newly structured coaching team”
Longtime NFL offensive assistant Ben McAdoo has been hired by the New England Patriots to work under new head coach Jerod Mayo and offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. The 46-year-old has worked as a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for various NFL teams, including the New York Giants. His experience with quarterbacks, including helping Eli Manning turn things around in 2014 and 2015, is seen as a potential asset to the Patriots, who have the No. 3 pick in the NFL draft and may select a quarterback. McAdoo’s recent coaching stints include roles with the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars. His hiring was first reported by NFL Network.
