The Dallas Cowboys are close to hiring a new defensive coordinator, having interviewed former head coaches Ron Rivera and Mike Zimmer, as well as current defensive line coach Aden Durde. Zimmer has a history with the Cowboys and an impressive coaching record, while Rivera was recently fired from the Commanders and has experience as a head coach. Durde previously worked for the Cowboys and the Falcons. The team’s head coach, Mike McCarthy, is looking for his third defensive coordinator in five seasons after firing Mike Nolan and losing Dan Quinn to the Commanders. Change could be imminent for the Cowboys’ defense.
