Jesse Minter hired as Chargers’ defensive coordinator, Greg Roman set to lead offense, reports say
Jim Harbaugh has reportedly secured his offensive and defensive coordinators for the Los Angeles Chargers. Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter has agreed to join Harbaugh, along with well-regarded Michigan defensive line coach Mike Elston. Harbaugh has also finalized the addition of Greg Roman as offensive coordinator. Roman has had success with run-heavy schemes in the past but also faced criticism for stale offenses in previous coaching positions. It’s unclear how he will mesh with Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and address the team’s major questions at running back. Overall, both coordinators are familiar faces and are expected to make an impact with the Chargers.
