Weaver appointed as defensive coordinator for the Ravens
The Miami Dolphins have hired Anthony Weaver as their new defensive coordinator, ending a 10-day coaching search. Weaver previously served as the defensive line coach and associate head coach for the Baltimore Ravens and had a successful career in the NFL as a player. Dolphins’ head coach Mike McDaniel praised Weaver’s commitment to player development. Weaver will take over a defense that ranked 10th in yards allowed per game and seventh in rushing yards allowed in 2023. There may be changes to the defense as several key players are free agents, including Christian Wilkins, Jerome Baker, and DeShon Elliott.
