Potential Sources Indicate that Kingsbury is a Candidate for Commanders Offensive Coordinator Position
Former Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, who was close to joining the Las Vegas Raiders as their offensive coordinator, has emerged as a candidate for the same job in Washington. Kingsbury coached the Cardinals for four seasons until he was fired after the 2022 season. Washington has interest in UCLA coach Chip Kelly and San Francisco tight ends coach Brian Fleury for the offensive coordinator position. They also have interest in 49ers quarterbacks coach Brian Griese. Kingsbury’s experience working with young quarterbacks, including Kyler Murray, Patrick Mahomes, and Baker Mayfield, would appeal to Washington as they consider drafting a quarterback with the No. 2 pick.
