Unlikely That Giants GM Will Grant Saquon Barkley’s Wish, Says Reports
New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley wants the team to make a decision about whether they will use the franchise tag on him for a second consecutive year soon. General Manager Joe Schoen indicated that he plans to meet with Barkley’s representatives at the combine and did not appear to be in a rush to make a decision. The deadline for teams to use their franchise tags is March 5th. It is uncertain if Barkley would stay away from the Giants in protest if he is tagged a second time. The decision to tag him or let him test free agency remains up in the air.
