Former linebacker Morgan promoted to general manager position by Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have promoted Dan Morgan to president of football operations/general manager. Morgan, a former player for the Panthers, has been actively involved in the search for a new head coach. The team has completed the first step in a complete restructuring of the front office which started with hiring a new general manager. Morgan’s experience as a player and executive is expected to help turn around a franchise that has had six consecutive losing seasons. The Panthers are also scheduled to have in-person interviews with several potential head coaches, as they seek to rebuild and improve the team’s performance.
