Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward announced on his podcast that he will not be retiring, despite a rough 2023 season where he played through a groin injury. Heyward has been a key player for the Steelers for 13 years, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. He is also known for his community work, having been nominated for the Walter Peyton Man of the Year award six times and founding The Heyward House foundation. With the confirmation of Mike Tomlin’s return as coach, Heyward’s decision to continue playing will be welcomed by the city of Pittsburgh.
