Mahomes leads Kansas City to playoff victory against Miami in extremely cold temperatures
Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to a 26-7 victory over the Miami Dolphins in extremely cold weather, the fourth-coldest game in NFL history. Mahomes threw for 262 yards and a touchdown and sustained a hit that shattered his helmet. The Chiefs’ defense shut down the Dolphins’ offense, while kicker Harrison Butker contributed four field goals. Tyreek Hill, facing his former team, had a touchdown but was otherwise shut down. The Dolphins struggled in the cold, and despite a late drive, they were unable to overcome the Chiefs. Despite the freezing weather, the Chiefs continued their home playoff winning streak.
