“Titans Owner Reportedly Upset by Mike Vrabel Before Firing”
Amy Adams Strunk, the Tennessee Titans controlling owner, parted ways with head coach Mike Vrabel after he was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame. This led to rumors that Vrabel might become the Patriots’ coach which he didn’t address internally, leading to his dismissal. Vrabel had also shown admiration for the Patriots during a halftime ceremony, and was rumored to replace Patriots head coach Bill Belichick in the future. Despite rumors of friction with the Titans general manager, the firing of Vrabel was attributed to his actions during and after his visit to New England.
