The Denver Broncos have confirmed that quarterback Russell Wilson has been benched and will be replaced by Jarrett Stidham for the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Stidham was highly rated coming out of high school, ahead of Lamar Jackson. He served as a high school scout-team QB and was a backup for the New England Patriots. Denver head coach Sean Payton believes he has the potential to become an NFL starter. Stidham impressed in his first start last season, throwing for over 350 yards and three touchdowns.
