Aaron Rodgers of the Jets Announces Return Plans for 2023 and beyond
Aaron Rodgers hinted during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he won’t push to return this season from a torn Achilles injury, now that the New York Jets are eliminated from postseason contention. It was thought that Rodgers could start Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders if the Jets weren’t mathematically eliminated before suffering a loss to the Miami Dolphins. Rodgers also indicated he’s committed to playing for the Jets beyond 2024 and backed head coach Robert Saleh, general manager Joe Douglas and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. The Jets struggle offensively without Rodgers, but he believes the team only needs to reload, not rebuild.
