TE Geoff Swaim and ILB Josh Woods placed on injured reserve by Cardinals
The Cardinals placed tight end Geoff Swaim and inside linebacker Josh Woods on injured reserve due to season-ending injuries. Swaim has a calf injury, while Woods has an unknown injury. The team has Trey McBride, Elijah Higgins, and Blake Whiteheart as options to replace Swaim. Meanwhile, Krys Barnes, Owen Pappoe, and Ezekiel Turner are available to fill in for Woods. The Cardinals signed inside linebacker Tyreek Maddox-Williams and tight end Travis Vokolek from practice squads to replace Swaim and Woods on the active roster. They also made several practice squad moves, including releasing wide receiver Daniel Arians and signing tight end John Samuel Shenker and inside linebacker Davion Taylor.
