Undecided on Smith’s Future: We’ll See How the Season Goes
After a loss to the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank stated that the team is committed to head coach Arthur Smith, but will assess the situation at the end of the season. Despite a disappointing season, Blank said that making the playoffs was not a requirement for Smith to keep his job, but the expectation was for the team to be more competitive. The Falcons will start their final playoff push with quarterback Taylor Heinicke, replacing Desmond Ridder. The team will close out the regular season with games against the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints. Arthur Smith is in his third season with Atlanta.
