Watch: Steelers safety ejected after huge hit on Colts’ Michael Pittman Jr.

Steelers Safety Ejected from Game After Massive Hit on Colts’ Michael Pittman Jr.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Damontae Kazee was ejected from Saturday’s game for a hit to the head of Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. While it appeared to be a helmet-to-helmet hit, the reverse angle showed that Kazee hit Pittman with his shoulder, though still directly to the head. The hit resulted in a 15-yard penalty and an ejection for Kazee. This loss is significant for the Steelers, whose defense is already dealing with injuries. Additionally, the Steelers lost Minkah Fitzpatrick, their other starting safety, to injury on the play following Kazee’s ejection. Pittman is being evaluated for a concussion following the hit.
