“Desai expresses confidence in defense’s ability to address issues”
Eagles defensive coordinator, Sean Desai, is confident that the struggling defense can turn things around despite recent issues. The defense has been giving up a lot of points and yardage and is struggling in situational football, particularly on third downs and red zone defense. Lacking takeaways has also been a problem, dropping to 21st in takeaways and 29th in interceptions in the NFL. Desai takes full responsibility for play-calls and has acknowledged the criticism, but remains hopeful that the criticism will push his unit to improve and that they’ll work together to achieve their goals.
