Patrick Mahomes leads the nominees for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award
Patrick Mahomes is one of the 32 finalists for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, which recognizes a player for excellence on the field and community service. The award will be presented on Feb. 8, and each nominee will receive a donation to the charity of their choice. Mahomes was nominated for his work with his foundation, 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, and his donations to children’s organizations. The other nominees include players from various NFL teams. The award has been given annually since 1970, and Mahomes is looking to join the 10 players who have won both the NFL MVP and the NFL Man of the Year Award.
