Jets, Falcons staff members run stairs at MetLife Stadium in honor of late New York coach Greg Knapp

Staff members from the Jets and Falcons honor late New York coach Greg Knapp by running stairs at MetLife Stadium

The New York Jets lost pass game specialist Greg Knapp in 2021 after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in California. In his memory, the team started an annual tradition of running the stairs at MetLife Stadium to raise awareness of distracted driving and raise money for The Coach Knapp Memorial Fund. Knapp used to run the same stairs before every home game. Jets staff members recently completed their run in the rain, and were joined by staff members of the Atlanta Falcons. Knapp had a positive impact on many people during his time in the NFL, serving as an assistant coach for several teams over 25 years.
