Chris Tabor Named Interim Special Teams Coach for Panthers After Firing of Frank Reich
The Carolina Panthers have fired head coach Frank Reich after the team’s 1-10 record and struggles on offense. Special teams coach Chris Tabor has been appointed interim head coach. Tabor has experience in the NFL as a special teams coordinator for the Cleveland Browns and the Chicago Bears. He also had a brief stint as interim head coach for the Bears in 2021. Despite a lack of head coaching experience, Tabor will now lead the Panthers through the rest of the 2023 season. The decision to let go of Reich and appoint Tabor reflects the team’s desire to make changes and improve their performance.
