Dolphins to Add Veteran DE Pierre-Paul to Roster
Marcel Louis-Jacques, a beat reporter for ESPN, reported that veteran defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins after a season-ending injury to linebacker Jaelan Phillips. Pierre-Paul, who confirmed the news on Instagram, previously played for the New Orleans Saints and has had a successful career with 94.5 sacks over 14 seasons. Despite the loss of Phillips, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel believes in the team’s depth and the ability of players like Bradley Chubb, Andrew Van Ginkel, and David Long Jr. to step up and fill the void. McDaniel also emphasized that Phillips’ production will be compensated for through different players contributing.
