Wide Receiver Michael Thomas of the Saints Taken into Custody
Michael Thomas, the Saints wide receiver, was arrested and charged with simple battery and criminal mischief after getting angry with contractors parking on his street. He allegedly threw a brick at their car and their phone after they started recording. He also reportedly shoved the victim. The Saints are gathering information about the incident and have said Thomas is expected to play against the Vikings. Thomas is likely to face fines and/or probation and possible punishment from the NFL. This is the second time in less than three weeks that a Saints receiver has been arrested, with Chris Olave being arrested in late October for reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
