Rams’ Matthew Stafford addresses latest retirement whispers

Matthew Stafford of the Rams responds to recent retirement rumors

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford addressed retirement rumors during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Stafford, who turns 36 in February, was evaluated for concussions and has recently dealt with a thumb injury. A recent article predicted that Stafford will retire after the season, but Stafford expressed a desire to continue playing until at least January 2025. He declined a request to restructure his contract and has $31 million guaranteed for next season. Despite potential reasons to retire, Stafford stated that he enjoys playing too much to hang it up. He will lead the 3-6 Rams against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 19.
