Analyzing the Performance of the Cowboys’ Rookie Class up to this Point
The Dallas Cowboys’ rookie class has been relatively slow to make an impact so far in the season. Many of them were not expected to have significant roles in the team as the Cowboys had few starting jobs available. Defensive tackle Mazi Smith, although not a star defender, has been playing a limited but effective role. Tight end Luke Schoonmaker has been underutilized in the passing game but has shown promise in run-blocking. Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered an ACL tear in the preseason, while cornerback Eric Scott Jr. and running back Deuce Vaughn have been inactive for most games. Overall, the rookies have yet to make a significant impact, but there is potential for improvement.
