Source: Browns’ Ford (ankle) to miss 1-2 weeks

Browns’ Ford Expected to Be Out for 1-2 Weeks Due to Ankle Injury

The Cleveland Browns will be without running back Jerome Ford for one or two weeks due to an ankle injury, according to a source. Ford has been serving as the team’s featured running back since Nick Chubb’s season-ending knee injury in Week 2. Ford suffered a “low grade, high ankle” sprain in the Browns’ victory over the Indianapolis Colts, where he scored a 69-yard touchdown. Kareem Hunt will take over as the team’s lead running back in Ford’s absence. Hunt recently re-signed with the Browns following Chubb’s injury.
