Broncos safety Kareem Jackson has suspension cut in half, will sit out two games for illegal hits

Broncos Safety Kareem Jackson’s Suspension Reduced by Half, Will Serve Two-Game Penalty for Illegal Hits

Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson has had his four-game suspension for illegal hits reduced to two games on appeal. Hearing officer Derrick Brooks cut the suspension in half after reviewing Jackson’s appeal. Jackson will miss a home game against Kansas City and a game at Buffalo, and will be eligible to return to the team on November 14. He will forfeit about $279,000 in salary instead of the $589,000 he would have lost with the original suspension. Jackson has been fined multiple times this season for illegal hits, and the league cited his history of personal fouls when issuing the suspension.
