Frank Reich, Panthers coach, implements significant alteration following disappointing beginning
Carolina Panthers coach Frank Reich is giving up his offensive play-calling duties after a winless start to the season. Offensive coordinator Thomas Brown will take over play-calling responsibilities in Week 8 against the Houston Texans. Brown, 37, is in his first season as an NFL offensive coordinator, previously working as a coach for the Los Angeles Rams. The Panthers hired Reich for his track record with quarterbacks, but rookie Bryce Young has had a tough time with just 967 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions in six games. The team also traded their top wideout and has struggled with injuries.
