NFL suspends former Super Bowl champion temporarily
Damien Wilson, a free-agent linebacker, has been suspended for four weeks after violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Wilson was a part-time player in Dallas before joining the Chiefs and earning a starting role. He had a successful two seasons with the Chiefs, including a Super Bowl win. Wilson then joined the Jaguars for the 2021 season, where he had a career year. However, he was arrested on an assault charge after signing with the Panthers and saw limited playing time. The Panthers released him in March, and he has not had any reported visits during the offseason. This suspension further reduces his chances of signing with a team in 2023.
