49ers Acquire Pass Rusher Randy Gregory Through Trade
The San Francisco 49ers have acquired pass rusher Randy Gregory from the Denver Broncos. Denver had planned to release Gregory, but instead, they traded him and a 2024 seventh-round draft pick to San Francisco in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick. Denver will also pay all but the veteran minimum of Gregory’s salary for the rest of the 2024 season. Despite dealing with injuries and social anxiety disorder in the past, Gregory is known as a talented football player. The addition of Gregory is seen as a low-risk, high-reward move for the 49ers. He has recorded seven quarterback pressures this season.
