Steelers Running Back Warren Penalized $48K for Illegal Hit

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has been fined $48,333 for an illegal use of helmet penalty during the Week 2 win against the Cleveland Browns. Warren’s hit on Browns safety Juan Thornhill went unnoticed during the game but was reviewed after. Warren plans to appeal the fine. Other Steelers players, including linebackers Kwon Alexander and Elandon Roberts, were also fined for unnecessary roughness. On the Browns’ side, quarterback Deshaun Watson and tight end David Njoku were fined for unsportsmanlike conduct. In total, Steelers players were fined $154,106 for violations during the game.
