NFL slaps NFLPA with cease and desist for instructing RBs to fake injuries

NFLPA Receives Cease and Desist from NFL after Advising RBs to Falsely Pretend Injuries

The NFL has filed a grievance against the NFL Players Association, accusing them of advising running backs to fake or exaggerate injuries as a tactic for contract negotiations. The league claims that this violates the collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the players union. According to a memo obtained by The Athletic, the players union has been recommending players to pretend to have or exaggerate injuries in order to gain leverage in contract negotiations. This action by the league further diminishes the perception and value of running backs in the NFL.
