WR Meyers in protocol after 2-TD Raiders debut

WR Meyers follows protocol following impressive 2-TD debut with Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is in the NFL’s concussion protocol after being hit in the head by Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson during their Week 1 game. Meyers had a game-high nine catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game. He signed a three-year, $33 million contract with the Raiders in March. Coach Josh McDaniels did not provide any additional details about Meyers’ condition. The Raiders will practice in West Virginia this week for their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills. McDaniels also addressed the situation with defensive end Chandler Jones, stating that it is a personal issue.
