Burrow Returns to Practice for the First Time Since July 27 Injury
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since injuring his right calf on July 27. Burrow participated in all throwing drills with assistant Dan Pitcher and the team’s backups. Wide receiver Tee Higgins and receiver Ja’Marr Chase spoke highly of Burrow’s performance, and rookie wide receiver Charlie Jones praised Burrow’s deep ball accuracy. Burrow, who had a standout rookie season in 2022, is recovering from his calf injury and preparing for the Bengals’ season opener against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 10.
