Raiders clear major hurdle by agreeing to reworked deal with All-Pro

All-Pro hurdle cleared as Raiders agree to reworked deal

The Las Vegas Raiders have signed a one-year deal worth up to $12 million for running back Josh Jacobs. The team was at risk of losing Jacobs to a holdout, but was able to avoid that situation. Jacobs led the league in rushing yards last season and is considered vital to the Raiders’ aspirations of winning the Super Bowl. Wide receiver Davante Adams has also praised Jacobs’ importance to the team. The Raiders are not seen as significant playoff contenders, but the addition of Jacobs and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo could improve their prospects.
