Texans’ Stroud not anxious over QB competition

Texans’ Stroud Remains Calm Amidst QB Competition

The Houston Texans have yet to name their starting quarterback for Week 1 of the NFL season. The No. 2 pick, C.J. Stroud, is not concerned about it and believes it’s not his responsibility. He is focused on getting better every day and is leaving the decision to the coaches. Head coach DeMeco Ryans has declared a quarterback competition between Davis Mills and Stroud during training camp, but Stroud has been running with the first-team offense while Mills has been with the second team. Both quarterbacks still have room for improvement, according to Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.
